What is the Global Atheletae Liberation Movement?
In 2014 the National Bar League, founded by Evan Harden, began hosting calisthenics competitions and workout clinics free to the communities of Philadelphia. This was done with the vision of bringing health and wellness education to under-served communities while building a culture of wellness and positivity.
Creating Spaces
The National Bar League began finding success and started gaining attention from building calisthenics culture and interest over the years; Hosting competitions, demonstrations and creating school programs throughout the Philadelphia region.
In 2018 partnering with the City of Philadelphia, the National Bar League created the first calisthenics park in the city.
With growing popularity and recognition with National Bar League as well as increasing demands for more parks, it was a logical step to make wellness equipment and education more accessible. To focus more on this objective the Global Athletae Liberation Movement was created. We are a non-profit to focus on the communities and expanding the positive impact that can be created from our park concepts and educational calisthenics programs.
We're excited to bring new way of creating and looking at public spaces, fitness, and health around the world!
